Footlight Club Theatre

This exhibit was an opportunity I enjoyed through the Eliot School in Jamaica Plain, where I had taken several painting classes.  Eliot School students were able to display our paintings in the lobby of this famous community theatre in Jamaica Plain, MA.  (It is the oldest community theatre in the United States!).  I displayed many of the same paintings that had just been shown at the Middle East showing in April, but I specifically chose the most beautiful paintings which featured traditional Palestinian embroidery.  I love painting this embroidery, although the patterns are very intricate.  It is one of the treasures of our culture that I want to help preserve in my own way, through painting.
